What do I need to start lessons?
To learn to drive you will need to apply for or have an in date provisional license. To apply for a licence click here. Before you start lessons, I will need to see your licence and check that you meet the minimum eyesight requirement.
How long is a driving lesson?
I offer a range of lesson times depending on your needs and the stage in your learning. You can choose from 90 minutes or 120 minutes.
How many lessons will I need?
It is recommended that on average a 17 year old pupil will need 40-45 hours with an instructor and if available a further 20 hours of private practice. This obviously depends on your stage of learning and your individual learning style you may be a complete beginner or you may have had some lessons with another instructor. I will be glad to discuss your needs further, you can contact me via the contact page.
What car will I learn in?
A brand new Mini Cooper!
How can I practice between lessons?
I will provide you with handouts relating to lessons which you can take home to review. If you have the opportunity you could ask friends and family to take you out providing they are over 21 years old and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years. Remember experienced drivers sometimes pick up bad habits, you must continue to drive as I instruct you as this will help you reach the ultimate goal of passing your test!!
